Poland ratifies MLC

Poland has just become the 26th country and seventh EU member to ratify the Maritime Labour Convention. Poland has a fleet of over 180 vessels and supplies over 22,000 seafarers to international shipping. Only a further four countries are now needed for ratification. It is widely expected that the MLC will be ratified this year and will enter into force in 2013.
