Psychological Wellbeing (Sikolohikal na Kagalingan) sa Dagat

Seafarers can limit the risks of working at sea and keep fit, healthy and happy by taking care of their wellbeing.

Ang psychological wellbeing ay tumutukoy sa malusog na pag-iisip. Ibig sabihin, namumuhay tayo nang maayos. Sa pangkalahatan, mabuti ang pananaw natin sa ating sarili, nakadarama tayo ng lugod, mayroon tayong layunin at katuturan, at pakiramdam natin ay nasa tamang landas ang ating buhay. Ang psychological wellbeing ay kapaki-pakinabang para sa ating pangkalahatang kalusugan at posibleng indikasyon din na tayo ay magkakaroon mahabang buhay.

Psychological wellbeing is about being well psychologically, which means that we can function well,we feel generally good about ourselves and about life, we feel a sense of life satisfaction, a sense ofpurpose and a sense that our lives are on the right track. Psychological wellbeing is beneficial for ouroverall health and can even mean that we live longer.

This self-help guide aims to explain what positive mentalhealth and psychological wellbeing are, help seafarers to recognise the risks towellbeing that they may face, and provide some practicalideas about how seafarers can maximise their psychological wellbeing.
