Polish Seamen's Welfare Society

Marynarska rada opiekuńcza znaczek 002

The Polish Seamen's Welfare Society was founded in 1992 as a result of the decision of the Minister of Maritime Economy to implement the ILO Convention. In 1997 we received legal status as an association. The council includes representatives of the economy industries, trade unions, a pastoral of seafarers and representatives of the Mayor of the City of Szczecin.

Our activities are changing, adapting to the current needs of seafarers. After the pandemic period, we have resumed our activities in Ports in Szczecin and Świnoujście. In Szczecin, our activities are mainly concentrated in the Stella Maris club. The draiver of our club visits ships offering transport services, city tours, a visit to the club and a stay in our receration centre during the season. In Świnoujście, we have a full-time employee who conducts his by providing services mainly online. Activities in Szczecin and Świnoujście are financed by our organization.
